Default Remove running boards?

Should i remove my running boards? Planning on 2.5in lift front and rear plus 33 in tires.

Best pic i have of them. They are OEM i think, and the are slick as hell when snow or rain gets on them.

I personally removed mine and upgraded to nerf bars. They look OEM and I know they can be super slick. Love the front bumper by the way. Looks great!

Thanks! Yea once we get above freezing (May some time lol) I think I will remove them depending on what others say.

Also what about painting my chrome mirrors black? I hate chrome lol. Debadging? What about painting the badges black?

I do like the look of a debadged truck but there to each his own. I want to trade out my 98 style badges for the new style 06 style chrome ones. You could paint your mirrors black but I don't know how the paint would hold up over the chrome?? I think, now don't quote me on this (I'll probly be told I'm wrong.) but I think you could get the black plastic ones like mine to fit. I think the plastic mirrors came later in the 2nd gen but I think the mounting would be the same.

Sounds good can't wait to see it. I have before and after pics of mine if you want to see how much of a change they can make.

You should remove the running boards. Thats the first thing I did when I got my truck along with taking off the mud flaps. As for debadging, I'm still up in the air about that too.

That would be great if you don't mind! I am getting really tired of jumping in my truck for a fire call and falling on my *** lol.
