Default Thumping noise and feeling....can you help?

If i turn my truck slightly and move either forward or backwards, there is thumping feeling and noise at slow speed. I think its coming from the rear but I'm not to sure, I just noticed it. Any ideas?

Within the last year i have replaced the font end wheel hubs, outer axle shafts, u-joints, and ball joints. I pray that here is no more from end problems on this thing........and was hoping there wouldn't be any more problems in general. Between the electrical problems and front end falling apart, I'm considering if I should even keep this thing, and i really do love it.

check the u-joints in the rear drive shaft. if there is any play at all, they need replacement.

u joints would be my first thought also. they might seize up and not allow any play though. you might want to just take the drive shaft off so you can get a good feel for the u joints condition.
when my u joints on the rear drive shaft went bad, they would squeak really loud at low speeds. they were bad enough that i broke a 9" c clamp and a big shop vise before getting them out of the drive shaft with an arbor press. i had a couple cracked caps and nothing but dust inside them.

I have the same noise. If I turn sharp at a low speed I hear a thump under the truck but it sounds like the front end and not the rear. I have replaced everything in the front in the last two years except for the torsion bar bushings. New u-joints, tie rod ends, new trac bar, ball joints etc. Can't figure it out.

CV joints can cause a clunk on 4X4.

If it's a heavy mass feel, it's your fuel tank. Mine used to do this. The fuel sloshes around and as it does, it pushes the front end of the tank up into under my seat. Took me a while to figure that one out. Move the tank back away from your seat area. Slide it back as far as it will go. Tighten it up. Should take care of that thump.

Also, it could also be your trac bar. I had that going on too and, was loud, towards the front and had a deep mass sound to it.

Bad bearing in the rear diff? If you are sure it is in the rear. Maybe pinion/ring gear play has gotten out of hand, leaf spring bushings yea that’s it. Or god forbid a loose axel U-bolt, owee, oweee. it is probably a broken exhaust hanger and the pipe is hitting the bottom of the truck. Bed bolt or bushing? Just a few ideas. I just replaced my front axel wheel joints, they were shot and the ticked as the wheels turned due to there being no needle bearings left.

Well my usual shop checked it out and felt the feeling too, but had no idea as to what it could be, told me that perhaps my alignment could be bad (outta tow) so I took it to another shop, and without them running it to recreate the feeling (I had low gas in it) they threw it up on the stand and told me my track bar and the lower pitman arm tie-rod end is bad. I just go the parts (new moog parts from rock auto) in and will replace but have a gut feeling that the thump will remain? I hope not.

The thump gets faster as you speed up and slow down, and you only notice it once your going for a bit (things get warmed up). Rear axle shaft u-joints are good and front end is practically all new! I feel it in my seat and think that its from the rear but could very well be from the front end. Its hard because its a no noise situation, just a feeling. I'm still stumped and so are others.

Guess its my who rear brake set up. I need new calipers, hubs and pads. Also need to eliminate the parking brake, It locks in if you use it. I suppose I can rebuild it, but I really don't use it much.

I think I'm gunna buy from RockAuto. I got some stuff from them a while back and was happy about it all. Anyone else suggest a better place to but from.
