Question Engine seems to be misfiring

Hi, i've got a 1995 ram 1500, with 360 4x4 auto, its needs help with running, when you first start it sometimes is sounds like its not firing on all cylinders but not sure on this, but always idles at about 1200-1300 rpm, once you've been driving it for about 15-20 minutes at a steady speed it seems like the engine skips a beat but stays running, when driving throught town at like 20-30mph it with just die and either backfire or be hard to start, sometimes just throwing it in neutrual and trying to start it doesnt always work, sometimes you have to stop and put it in park but it always eventually starts back up. i've replace the tps and crankcase postion sensor, and now im at a loss. please help me i've tried to explain it best i can, thanks in advance

check the IAC sensor

if the #5 and #7 plug wires touch, they can cause a misfire.

last, bad plenum and CAT is getting clogged/02sensor getting bad.

Any error codes? This will help a lot with finding out about each problem you might have.

Now, I would say to start with a basic tuneup. Include a new distributor cap, rotor, spark plug wires, spark plugs, and an oil change. This will help your problem, no matter what, unless you have already done this.

More likely than not, you also have a plenum leak. You check buy looking down the bores in your throttle body to see if there is oil getting in the intake.

plenum is mounted to the bottom of the manifold. the gasket blows out due to dodges mistake, and it alows oil to enter the intake manifold. get a hughes plate, and you wont have to worry about it again. do a kegger mod while your at it, and its a pretty easy job. ive done it twice...first time took me around 18 hours, second time took me maybe 8-9 hours....

You must get tired of saying this, I think I've read it a good few times.

Have you considered using the search function on this forum ?
Search either hughes plate kegger or plenum and you'll get more results than you can shake a stick at.
