i agree, just get the magnaflow high flow cat, but dont go on summit and pay $200, theyre only $60-$70 on ebay here is the 2.5" and 3"

thanks.. yea i had seen them for that price on ebay a while back.. only hesitation is if i cut the old one off will the universal mount up to that Y-pipe set up.. looks like 3'' to me.. gonna have to measure it before i do anything

I had the cat gutted on my previous 97 360 ram, I think I lost power due to the hollow cat, I would at least have a pipe welded in there to ensure smooth exhaust flow. The man cut it open with a plasma cutter, removed the internals and welded it back to look stock. Made it a lot louder, just seemed to loose a little power.
