Misfires and vacuum leaks
hey i am from alabama.i have a 1996 dodge ram 1500 2wd quad 5.9 magnum i have done some new things on the dash with new colors and new electronics a very hard hitting system ive put a roll bar and im about to install a canvis cover on the bed im haven some problems with random miss fires and a load air sucking sound and some back firering sound out of the throttle body and ideas
Well when was your last tune up? (plugs, wires, cap, rotor..etc). I am thinking the IAC is causing that. Plus odds are your plenum is leaking. My best bet would be IAC though. Maybe a bad TPS? Btw use the search button it helps. Seems to be working today lol.

if the #5 and #7 wires touch they will cause misfiring for they fire right after each other.and your plenum 99.9% chance its blown. this can foul plugs, clog the CAT, kill the 02 sensors and make it run like crap
