Default Misfires and vacuum leaks

hey i am from alabama.i have a 1996 dodge ram 1500 2wd quad 5.9 magnum i have done some new things on the dash with new colors and new electronics a very hard hitting system ive put a roll bar and im about to install a canvis cover on the bed im haven some problems with random miss fires and a load air sucking sound and some back firering sound out of the throttle body and ideas

Well when was your last tune up? (plugs, wires, cap, rotor..etc). I am thinking the IAC is causing that. Plus odds are your plenum is leaking. My best bet would be IAC though. Maybe a bad TPS? Btw use the search button it helps. Seems to be working today lol.

i hvae put new plugs wires and idel air control sencer on it and it still shows random miss fires and sounds like sucking air and makes a poping noise like a back fire

Distributor cap and rotor,spark plugs should fix it.

if the #5 and #7 wires touch they will cause misfiring for they fire right after each other.and your plenum 99.9% chance its blown. this can foul plugs, clog the CAT, kill the 02 sensors and make it run like crap

i took it to auto zone and they hooked it up and said that it is haven random missfires on all 8 ,and as for codes im not sure this is all i know lol,i have put a new coil,new plugs,wires,idel air control sen, but it still does the random missfires and very bed mpg,and still the load sucking sound like a big vacum leak im not a mech. so im not up with all the codes and stuff that you all have said lol but im really looking to get some help on this cause its a good truck well has been, and ty to all that have wrote me back on this i think i just need to suck it up and take it to a shop
