Nothing really. I think they were getting at it could be a leak from outside (third brake light, weather stripping, etc.)

I would be surprised if it were not the heater core.

There should be a drain at the bottom of the air exchange box your A/C is taking the moisture out of the air and condensing then running out on your carpet. Unless the Passenger floor smells like anti freeze which you didn't mention. It's been a while since I have looked or worked on that part of my truck and I have never had this problem with this truck. But it has happened to me on other trucks and cars.

I had something similar to this, but it turned out not to be my heater core. There's a little rubber plug underneath the carpeting, if you look under your truck it's between the frame and the outer edge of the body. Well that fell out, easy enough to diagnose.

I have noticed that the coolant level stays full, and has been for at least a year now. The floor has had enough water in it to fill up a 5 gal bucket all togather since it has been leaking. That drain nozle in the fire wall that points straight out on the passenger side under the hood comes from what? I put a turn down on it to keep air from blowing back into the inside of the truck. If the heater runs on defrost does the system sweat like the AC is on? I know the compressor runs. If so shouldn't the sweat run outside? Also if this is true, then what if it's like 15 or 20 degrees outside and I'm running my defrost with heat want the water that is running outside freeze up and stop up anyway, it just seems crazy as hell, I've never seen a car running the heat be dripping water out the bottom of the car like the AC is on.

Otherwise check the following, even if you think it is a leak from outside.

-Third Brake light
-Weather stripping
-Windshield, and Rear window seals
-A/C drain hose(may be clogged, coat hanger and compressed air is your friend)
-Check body seems under plastic cowling that houses the wiper components. This is where my leak was.
Hey im having a similar problem and was wondering if you could point me to where the a/c drain hose is and what to look for on the third brake light?

AC drain hose is located on the passenger side of the fire wall below the dryer. It is the hose that will leak water condensation if you run your a/c for a long time. Clean it out, put some new sealant around the hose (but not in it!) and if you can, get a 90 degree bend so it drains straight down, and not onto the sealant.

As for the 3rd brake light, remove it and check for any cracks, then check the gasket, if it looks pretty old and passed it, get yourself some RTV and goop it up nice then re-install the light.

AC drain is in the engine bay, on the firewall, passenger side, down low, underneath the AC dryer canister thing. its a tube about 3/8 diameter that only sticks out about 1/2 inch. common problems are being stopped up with mildew or mud; also cracked seal at the firewall. you can poke it out with a wire to clean out stoppage, seal crack with black rtv.

look for cracked, broken, misfitting gasket on third brake light. you can replace gasket or use a little rtv (don't use too much).
