My 2001 dodge ram with 360 and 60,000 miles started to run pretty bad last month. I did alot of research on this site and came to the conclusion the plenum gasket needed fixed. I ordered the hughes plenum fix,a tune up kit from accel, 180 degree thermostat, replaced the exhaust with a flowmaster force II single inlet/outlet cat back system, new o2 sensor and put an airaid intake on the truck.
The truck ran great after all the parts were installed. Power was still not to impressive. More research and found out about dodges deathflash. Checked the pcm and sure enough, I had it. Convinced my wife I needed a SCT tuner.
Just recieved the tuner this morning in the mail from Hemifever. I downloaded the 93 performance setting into truck and took it for a test ride. Night and day difference. Can't believe the new found power of the truck. Before, when it shifted to overdrive, it was so weak. Now, I can even accelerate in overdrive going up inclines. At wide open throttle, the truck accelerates like never before. Simply amazing.
Next on my list is the harland sharp 1.7 roller rockers. Hemifever recommended them and said they really woke up his truck. Possibley may get the fastman tb. This is getting expensive, fast. "Its cheaper than a truck payment" is what I've been telling my wife.

Mine just started running bad out of the blue, and wanted to see if yours was having the same symptems as mine. Mine started idling a little rough when the truck heats up, then if you try to get in the gas it acts like it wants to die... Had some folks say it could be the Cat, or 02 Sensor, did you replace any of these?
thanks,
Jordan

Alright dab gummit, I can already tell y'all are going to get me hooked on these mods, then I won't want to give the truck to my son next year! HA!
Ok got two questions:
1. The hughes plate replaces the Plenum/Belly Plate, so where do I get one?
2. Is the Death Flash something Dodge did to the CPE to kill Horse Power? If so, do I need to by a specific SCT to do this, and are they expensive?
Ok techniquely that is like 4 questions rolled into 2... lol
Thanks Y'all
