35's on stock ram
If you're going to lift your truck, at least do it right like all these guys have done.

On a different note that website is almost creative ha. There obviously doing it for kicks and giggles and the guy acts like their rolling around bragging about their $10,000 lift.
That is what I consider cutting corners and never recommended to do any of that. Just gave him another option of how to put together a cheap lift. He doesn't have to do it this way. I realize this will make the vehicle unsafe but lifting a vehicle the right way (like my truck) still makes it unsafe.

I see your point but the sad truth is those death traps were all either on the road or made to be road worthy from what I could see except one....and he was making fun of the stupidity in the design of many of the lifts which seemed to make no sense ....I love the heavy duty coil springs welded to the wimpy ones....that thing has to make you sea sick after driving around the block!
Making "ecomonically sound" decisions regarding suspension mods which I interpret as "lets be ghetto" decisions saves nothing. If you have a truck that you aren't going to keep, get rid of it and buy something you want to invest in. Skirting issues of safety and personal responsibilty to others around you and your fellow enthusiasts is probable economy in other abilities as well.
Just sayin...
but its actually quite safe and well built, i used coils off an old F150 for the front and removed all the lower leaves from the rear packs and replaced them with leaves from a dakota pickup
but then again my Jeep's only for the off road, not even street legal
it depends if u have the off road package from the factory. that comes with a factory 3 inch lift. i have a stock 2001 dodge ram 1500 off road and i fit 315/75r17s (actual height is 34.6 inches) on mine without any rubbing at all. so depending on what version u have u can fit 35 inch tires on a stock dodge ram 1500
Be gentle.
