I seriously doubt if these things are "more efficient".
People are not going out and spending $100's on these things to replace a $10 bulb because of efficiency, thats for sure.
They do it for the perceived coolness factor, not caring 1 whit about the 100's of people that they are going to be blinding on the roads on a nightly basis.
They are the ipod touches of the vehicle world, shallow gadget fiend sees them, and hes just gotta have one himself, cost or safety factors be damned.

Hey, I'm only gonna ask nicely once. Please stop acting like a jackass know-it-all on this forum. Telling a guy to google something that he doesnt know how a HID works, and you wont explain it to him, shows just how much you know about HIDs. I know if I knew how a HID worked and understood it, I would kindly explain it to anyone! So stop it with this bad additude and we can get along. Thank You.

Auggie and Purpl is it worth it to argue with these guys? We know our facts and they have theirs. There are plenty of mods to various vehicles people don't agree with, its bound to happen. H.I.D.s are infact brighter and more efficient but there will be the people to complain. Just like people to complain about sounds systems, exhausts, tinted windows, the list goes on. People will always find something to whine about. whether its vehicle related or not. It is human nature. On my snowmobile forum theres guys just like this that complain about exhaust systems. It is truely nuts. Its all personal choice on your vehicle. Haters make the world go round. You cannot do anything in this world to please everyone, just let them be and live your life. We all have our own tastes. There is no need for everyone in this forum to bash eachother! lets all just move on and what not. Whether they need to chime in or not.

hate to get back on subject a little but I was looking at some projector headlights myself I guess for the "coolness" factor, have black ranchhands, chrome grill with black inserts so I wanted some black ones since the headlights are pretty faded noticed it is only $75 more for the headlights with HID kits. I did notice there are no instructions included so if I get my legal..illegal kits whatever how much a of an **** pain is this gonna be to try and wire these things. I do have general wiring knowledge.
