Default power steering fitting leak

gotta 01 1500 360 and the power steering started humming so i new it needed fluid, so i added a quart and drove it home. well the next day it did this again, but this time i left the motor running while i added it, and it started shooting fluid out of the steel hose connection on the back off the pump. what i was wondering is can this be fixed with some teflon tape or do i need a new hose?

ok, i'm answering about a day too late.
the old hose is likely split and/or dry rotted and needs replacement. its pretty high pressure, and needs that crimp.

you should take a hose off your parts truck to save some bucks.
