Default Overhead console question

So, when I hold both buttons down, it pops up with a screen that says VAR that goes from 1-15. Any idea what that is? `

Ah ok thanks man. Ok, while im at it, I have another console question. My MPG and Dest. to empty is WAY off, When I try to reset the MPG it will go to about 13 (which is right) and when I take my hand off it drops down to something crazy low. For awhile it was a 2.3 MPG. WTF? I know these aerent allways perfect, but its not even close

The MPG display is the average since reseting it so it can be funky depending on when you reset it last. The dist to empty is based on some average over the last few miles driven. I have seen my dist to empty go up while going down a hill.
