yeah but going from a 285/75 .... to a 305/70......depending on treadwear...will seriously not affect his gearing/power loss

Keep thinking that big tires and stock gears work fine together. If you ever do decide to regear, you'll quickly realize how wrong you have been.

For 33" tires, you really should be running 4.10's. That's the combo I ran, and it was so much better the 33's and 3.55's.

Sorry, but there has never been a 98 Ram 1500 with "plenty" of power.

im thinkin about throwing some 38's on mine if i do a body lift but i hate seeing the frame on a lifted truck but i know for now with the 4in sus lift i got now i can put 35's

For 35's, 4.56 is the minimum. 4.88's are probably better. I run 4.56, and it is definetly better then when my truck had stock gears/tires, and it is way way better then when I ran 4.10's with 35's. I wish I had gone 4.88 though.

These trucks don't show the frame with a body lift. Mostly because the wheel wells have the black plastic liners.

i believe 4.56 is the highest you can go with our trucks, not positive tho.....prob bout what you need

i guess you never seen mine it ran 12.38 in a 1/4 mile in indy with the 33 and stock gears i can dump the clutch in 3d gear and roast the tires off
