Dual piston caliper
The 2 are NOT interchangeable. The 3500 MC has a longer stroke length then the 1500.
the brake booster and line hook ups are the same... what would keep me from doing the swap?
Yeah the LD 2500 is the same thickness as the 1500 rotor
Thats above my knowledge for the master cylinder as I do not know the differences between the 2 and I do not know about the rotors my truck is 2wd and I cant swap to newer rotors so maybe someone with more knowledge on this can help you

Like I said, the 3500 has a longer stoke length from the booster. I never said anything about them not being able to bolt on. But don't let me stop you from doing it.
i guess i dont quite understand, what do you mean they are not interchangeable? why wont it bolt on and improve my braking?
This DOES NOT affect 4x4's but for the 2wd truck in 00 they switch from a rotor that holds the bearings in it to a seperate hub unit and rotor so I would not be able to switch to newer rotors without changing spindles and a couple more things
I dont know if they newer rotors will fit for 4x4s that would be something you would have to go to a parts store to compare the 2

No they are NOT interchangeable. The 3500 has a longer stroke length from the booster. The 1500 has a shorter stroke length. So if you put a 3500 MC that requires a long stroke on a 1500 booster that has a shorter stroke, well lets just say that you won't be stopping any time soon. Your more then welcome to try it and prove me wrong.
