Cluster going bad?!
ok as many of you know my gas gauge is stuck on full. sending unit is not stuck in tank, and all the wires seem good.
Now my oil PSI is a bit strange...but not in a bad way. ever since i did the plenum, at idle after warmed up it would drop to about 40 PSI, then when i hit the gas it wouldjump to put the needle in the middle of the 0 for the 40.
yesterday we got some snow and i was hammerin on it, and i went to and idle, and the PSI was on the 0 (for the 40psi)at idle, and when i gave it gas my PSI goes above the 0 on the 40 a little bit. which is alot of oil psi. its never gotten that high.
Also the volts seem to be a bit low, i do have a system in the truck...its at about 15 volts, and its usually 16-17 volts
and the bulb that lights up the temp gauge blew out (easy fix) but im wondering if my cluster could somehow be starting to crap the bed, or me hammering on it made some sludge move and i have better flow...i dont know...

ok i heard something new today...is there something that heats up for the gas gauge to move? i heard today from the dealer that they "burn out" and thats my problem for the gas gauge...they did say my volts are normal, my amp is just drawing extra power from it, and my light...banged on the dash and she came back on...said the oil PSI is a good thing that its now higher, and they asked if ive done anything to the motor recently, and i said how i put a new manifold hughes plate in etc. and he said that it is perfectly normal, and it infact did maybe move some sludge around to create a bigger pickup...
so this makes me feel good at least...except for the gas gauge, but has anyone heard of that piece for the gas gauge?

The cluster wiring shows 4 connections between the sending unit and the gauge, check them (for the gas gauge) and check you're grounds also.
You're variation in volts and lights dimming could be cause it's so freakin' cold up there right now..LOL

yea lol its been like 20 degrees, but i live right on the ocean coast, so i get the ocean wind, and the wind chill gets up to like -30-40 degrees
