Engine question on my ram
This is what you want to do:
Heads, Cam, SCT, Headers.

That is a lot of power with the stock intake. Basically has the HB of a Hemi and more torque.
Our trucks came with 225 HP. And you are probably seeing 180 at the rear wheels.

Spent an hour with the parts guy at my local Dodge dealer researching numbers. ALL dodge/jeep vehicles with V8s have the same part number for the head. The R/T has a different cam and internal parts. Cant remember for sure but I believe he said the pcm has a different program.
Opps, posted incorrect hp for the 96, it was 230hp back then, not 235. (increased to 245 in 98)
No factory ram or dak came with different heads, all the same.
Mopar Performance sells RT heads
RT heads available in either 1.92 or 2.02 intake, they both have 1.625" exh valves
1.92RT heads are P#5007140 bare, 5007145 loaded
2.02RT heads are P#5007141 bare, 5153532 loaded
You can also buy the RT heads in a 1.92 loaded alum version or bare.
I bought a set of bare alum RTs & traded them with a buddy for a set of loaded Eddy alum 2.02s(still in box)
