ya When mine wouldnt shift out of first anymore I got lucky and it was just a bad gov pressure soleniod and sensor which are common failures on our trannies... in fact I've heard of them failing again 6 months after being replaced from getting plugged with contaminated... but even though I had no lights I had codes pointing to it when I hooked my reader up ...1741 code I believe... clunking into od could just be in need of band adjustment right?

Not sure it could be. (Im not a big transmission guy I know the basic's and that's really it) The first problem I had with it back before that sensor got replaced was I would be driving and then it would just act like it went in to neutral while driving. I figured the tranny was slipping. Turns out the tranny was droping back in to first gear when I would be going 50 MPH +. After he replaced the sensor it was fine, and now its starting to do that again.

Well I called up the local transmission shop and my truck is going in Feb 15 to find out what is wrong with the transmission. When they find out, they/I have to call the warrenty company up so they can send a dude out to Yay or Nah my warranty fix. So, I figure its going to take a day to figure out what is wrong, then 2 days to get the guy out there. I will be truck-less, with no way to work, but this has to be done. The warranty company will provide me with a rental if they approve the warranty fix. If the work that needs to be done will take 8 hours, I get a car for a day. If more then I get it for two days. I am trying to figure out what I will do for a car until they yay or nay it. I do have my motorcycle! But its like 30 degrees outside with ice and snow.

Got my truck back, and its like a whole new truck. Before when I would hit 60MPH on a flat straight road, it would be around 2100 RPM's. Now same road, same speed its around 1700 RPM's. And when going around 40MPH it wouldn't hit O/D, it would just chill around 1800. Now its at 1000. )) I am happy with this build.

And it comes with a 12 month, 13,000 mile warranty from the shop. I did have to pay 500 out of pocket, but my PVP warrnety covered the rest.

Sounds like a good re-build but thats not a lot of miles for a warranty. That is a years worth of driving give or take.
