Default Fuel injector plastic tips

hey, i just noticed that 4 of my fuel injectors are missing the plastic tips on the lower ends of the injectors. i found a couple of them in pieces. can these be found any where? i know the snap on and off but i need to buy some new ones. im getting the o-rings from the parts store but i cant find the little plastic tips that are supposed to be there. any one got a few or know where i can get some without getting raped? thanks.

Can you provide a picture? I replaced an injector last year that was giving me weird readings when I tested it, and I don't recall anything about tips.

Wow, I didn't even know they had tips that came off.

I doubt you can find just the tips. Sorry I'm not of much help. Hopefully someone else here can chime in.

Those are not supposed to come off. Those are there to protect the nozzle. You'll have to contact a person who rebuilds injectors to get those tips.

Call Rob Stark www.robstark.com to see about replacing those. Also, your going to want to double check your O-rings very carefully to ensure that they are not undersized. It is not uncommon to find them undersized and end up with leakers.

Rob is the best in the industry and a friend of mine out here in So Cal. He's the No 1 guy that most of So Cal including myself uses to rebuild injectors, clean injectors, test them etc etc.

All you need to do is to provide him with a number off the injector as to which model injector you've got. Then, from there, he can source the appropriate caps.

Get your o-rings from him as well. See if he's got enough in stock to do the whole set. His work, the ones that come with injectors don't. At least, twice in my experience, they did not.

On one set, they were >15 mils out of tolerance and, on another, they were too hard thus not making a good seal.
