mysterious black box
sure did see them, it made me want to run them off the road (the ones with the modulator).
i googled headlight modulator by the way. i thought it was a charging system problem, now i know the lights blink because of hardware on the bike.

I think that DRLs are the dumbest things ever concieved. Well, at least in this country. And then there are the idiots who purposly drive with their headlights on. I saw a guy the other day who had all of his lights on, Lows, Highs, and fogs. I can ****ing see you, dumbass!
....weather it be in Maroon, one of the rigs or a tractor
....oh and believe me, if its in a tractor, it'll damn near blind you (i've done it to myself at night, walking around the front of the JD to get to the toolbox)
We are practically invisible to drivers, even more so with the advent of cell phones, Nav systems and other devices that compete for driver's attention. What little we can do to make ourselves more visible can often be the difference between life and death. I have been riding for almost 40 years and it has gotten way more dangerous in just the past 5 or so years with the ubiquity of cell phones and it gets worse as more features are added to them to make drivers even more likely to not put them away when they drive. A modulating headlight is a minor inconvenience compared to how we suffer at the hands of inattentive drivers.

Why, because they want to be seen by the morons who might cut them off while texting, talking on a cell phone or otherwise not paying attention to the road? I don't like you anymore.

you don't like me anymore? to quote the springer regulars "why you gotta hate"
one thing to remember about the difference between you and me is that i'm in a semi rural area and you're in LA. so you are around much more traffic as well as having all of the young aspiring actors who are hooked on their tech (cell phones/laptops/big stereo systems). so to drive in your area you have to be on your toes while driving around here isn't as hair raising.
i don't have any trouble seeing motorcycles on the road and people around here don't seem to either. in the last ten years i haven't read about a single motorcycle and car collision in the paper or heard about one on the news.
i was just saying that the flashing lights are annoying, just like if a car were to constantly flash their lights from the time they come into your line of sight until they pass.
so don't get me wrong, i don't have any problem with motorcycles and i treat them like any other vehicle on the road by not cutting them off, tailgating or anything else that would make for an unpleasant ride when they are around me.
