I'm calling hogwash. Like Laramie said, there's been some skewing or something funky going on there. No way you are approaching 20 MPG with a 5.9L V8. The 5.2L V8 with a 5-speed, maybe, if you really baby it and its in great shape, with highway tires.

No offense to you guys, there just isn't a way, not without even more heavy modifications. Even then, I would still be doubtful.

Not a big deal, but you can't have a 33 gallon tank. The sizes possible from the factory were 26 on all 1500 short beds, 35 gallon (optional) on long beds, and then 2500s and 3500s with quad cabs came with a 34 gallon option.

Oh, I also forgot a full transmission rebuild that I didn't need.

Right on if that's true buddy.. Just do one full tank just to be sure.

I know for sure that if you fill up, and then drive 30 miles or so, and refuel that you'll see an extreme number. I did that right after replacing a gasket for my TB and my calc said 18.4 MPGs and I just laughed. I knew there was no way.
