thats some good info...

and you guys are probably right about the speedo being off cuz i went on the highway today, and had it set to 65, and everyone was passing me...(lots of speed traps around hardly anyone speeds out here) and i was keeping with the flow of traffic at 73-75 mph.

and i feel thes gears and tire size is perfect together, i have plenty of power, never bogs when off roading....but would it be better to go with the 285's when i get my new set of tires? and being that low geared for these tires isnt going to hurt anything is it?

and because your speedo is reading faster than it should your odometer is also racking up the miles faster than it should...effecting total mileage reading and mpg calculations...I have read there is some gear you can change in the speedo sending unit on the axle to correct for this...

well since you told me that, and using a bunch of numbers ive calulated she is getting 14.3 mpg's....which is very reasonable and sounds right.

im new to gearing so this info helps out ALOT...(ive been a mechanic 4 years, and i havent done anything with gears yet...thats sad...)

wait i just thought about this....

how come before id get 300-325 miles per tank...i did ALOT of driving today to try to run it dry....ive gone 386 miles since my last fillup, and shes still going.

now i had the 4.10's and 265's when i bought it, how come now its different? before it was fine? could this in any way be related to the egr delete?

while you may have increased your mpg the 386 miles you put on (as well as the 300 to 325) is actually about 4 percent less due to your odometer not reading the miles right all the repairs you did likely caused the increase in mpg...
