so far
the starter
all 4 shocks (went on with the lift)
parking brake assablye
intake gaskets
plenum gasket
rear main
all 4 tires
all 4 rims (broke 2 of the old alloys)
spark plugs cap rotor and wires
stock intake box to 14x3
and thats about all i can thinck of
all o which were diy (alot of help came form hear)

Bought it in October 2007 from my dad with 74000 on it

sence then these are things i had to replace:
Front U-joints
All 3 Front drive shaft u-joints
plenium (sp?) fix
spark plugs
plug wires
Distributer cap and rotor
Drivers side hub
many brake lines
speakers
entire exhaust
tailgate
draglink end
driversside balljoints
brakes on all 4 corners
Front axle carrier
Driverside stub shaft
Tires
Passenger side mirror
trac bar
water pump
crank sensor


I sure there are other things that im not thinking of withe now but will add later

Bought in Nov. 2009, have replaced a tranny, front brakes, belt, re-sealed tranny lines, head light, EGR valve and an O2 sensor

This is a great thread. I have a 98 2500 4x4 that I picked up two years ago. It hadn't been maintained very well. The oil was black and thick, and that was the niced thing about it. Since then I have been dumping money into it.

Here is my list:
Rear Axle seals and wheel bearings - $150
All fluids - $75
Rear brakes & hardware - $50
Calipers, pads, rotors - $150
Master Cylinder - $90
Water Pump - $85
All hoses & belt - $60
Plugs, wires, cap - $75
Plenum pan - $150
Wheel and tires - $600

2 water pumps, set of heads, all ball joints, brake rotors twice, calipers once, pads, fuel pump and filter, plenum is on the way. not bad for 237k miles. only had to do the stuff thats expected to break excluding the heads.
