Default Adding height to a 5 inch lift

so i was looking around on the internet today and found that some guys put 2'' spacers in the front and 2'' blocks in the back to add height to a truck thats already got a lift on it. i thought this would be cool way to add a few inches real cheap. i have a skyjacker 5'' lift. is adding 2'' even practical? i no that dodges 5 link suspension isnt the most lift friendly, has anyone made their own custom lift in the front?

Adding 5'' of lift isnt that practical, so why would adding two more inches be practical?

Just do a 3" body lift.

My friend put a 2" spacer on his 5" rough country suspension lift and 2" extra in the rear. It can be done and i've seen a few people online do it too. I personally think lifted rams look the best when lifted 5 inches with 35's

If you do add 2 inches to your 5" lift i would get longer shocks that are made for a 7" lift so it rides a little better. You also might need to get longer brake lines if going up that high

It will going up that high on any suspension = a chit pot of money and a new set of axles to support all of that steal and big tires.

This topic would probably fit in better over at Pavementsucks.com if there are still any second gen Ram guys around. I'm not sure if most of them have upgrade or not.

Here's a few pictures of my friends truck with a 5" suspension lift and 2" coil spacers up front. I think in the back he has added an add-a-leaf to gain a little more lift in the rear
