Default Do you loose any oil between oil changes?

ok i just wanted to ask this to reassure myself...

ok i checked my oil today, and its about a 1/4 in above the add mark...i need an oil change in 400 miles...but i wanted to know if its typical for these to burn oil?

i check my oil once a week, or once every other week, and i checked it about 900 miles ago and its was pretty much to the max line...

My plenum is obvously not leaking..i looked inside, and since my intake is ported and polished its easy to tell...well the inside is still pure silver...the hughes plate was actually shining when the light hit it...

Valve cover gaskets i replaced 5K ago...i retorqued on my last oil change 2600 miles ago...theres no wetnesss or any leaks here...

Oil pan is completely dry all the way around so thats not it.

Oil filter is dry all the way arond, so thats not it.

and the oil dipstick isnt leaking where it enters the block...

so is it typical for these to burn oil when your near due for an oil change?

i used Quaker full synthetic truck and SUV 10w30 with a mopar filter.

Is your rear main seal leaking?

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...er-pump-2.html

but could i get a pic of the exact location? and is this something i should replace right away?

i mean the oil is still in the safe zone after 2600 miles.

Hmm. Check your pcv valve too. My pretty new one was sucking oil into the intake. Even though you would probably see it in the manifold, it's worth a look; it takes about ten seconds to check.

if your rear main seal is leaking then you'll have oil on the bottom of the transmission right behind the dust shield.
mine's leaking but i'm not losing too much oil to worry about it right now.

i've pretty much accepted that my truck is going to leak/burn oil regardless...even if i wanted to fix all the possible leaks that i could, i wouldn't be able to finance a massive project like that anyway, so i just keep it filled

synthetic here too. burn-nope, leak-yep. if i leave it for a day or so then i'll have a drop on the bottom of the y pipe from where it dripped off the transmission. i lose between 1/2 quart and 1 quart between changes.

PCV and Brather were changed 5K ago when i did the plenum, and theres not a drop of oil in the intake.

and i got oil and she only needed a half a quart so 2600 miles and half a quart im not worried....ill check the RMS though
