318. History of reliability speaks volumes.

 

Go 318 thats what i got and a buddy of mine has the 360 and i beat him everytime we race and its very reliable

 

I have a 360 with the auto and I got to stick up for it but a 318 with manual can hang with me any day

 

The voting is closer than I thought it would be.It may end up 60% to 40% 360 since 60% of all 2nd gens. have the 5.9 !!!

 

it all really depends on what you will use the truck for i guess .i use mine for everything from mudding to daily driving and towing

 

So how about them 383's .... lol

 

I like my 360. Had a 318 once and didn't like it as much as my 360

 

I like the 318's i really do..my step dad's got a nasty jeep cherokee (orvis edition) with a 5.2 and it flys down the road pretty darn quick. but i'm voting for the 360..minus the plenum gasket problems on both motors..either one is great..but preferrably the 360

 

daily driver 5.2. fast truck 5.9( ctd LOL) no both are great motors I just like my 5.2 mpg I had a 5.9 for about a month little more power when you get in it but just daily driving it just sucking more gas

And in my mind the 3.9 v6 was the standard motor 5.2 was the middle of the road choice
