Default Intermittent Stalling/Surging Issues

Ok... here it does.. the start of this I've posted damn near 10 times lol. but the ending is always a differnet problem. What feels like a slip @ around 70mph only occurs about 4 times in 200 miles and can't be forced on, is never consistant... it won't slip underload really either, it just does it out of nowhere and takes me taking my foot off the gas for a second or two and putting it back on to fix it... PCV valve goes, so I replace it. I also replaced the TPS to try and aid with the 'slipping'. The truck the first 5 minutes of driving it surges at a stop... shut it off, fill with gas back on no more issues. Three days later I take my 220mile drive back home and by someones recommendation I change the plug wires. I upgraded them to some ridiculous looking neon yellow 8.5mm JEGS wires from some 7mm old POS wires that were in it. Get the oil changed, have the truck inspected and it runs clean. I then drive back to my work a day later 220 miles away still the same deal a slip here and there in rpms... it seems to drive 200-300rpm higher when it slips but still accelerates fine... its not like reving out and not going anywhere, it will maintain speed or accellerate, get to my apartment and BANG idle is high, around 1,100RPM... so I figured maybe after all the part installs it needs a PCM flash. Well I do the remove the negative and hold the key to the crank position to drain the capacitors... Turn her on and viola she runs be best she has in 3 years.... head to the gym. On the way back from the gym everytime I take my foot off the gas the rpm drops damn near stall and then goes back to normal... I then turn onto my street and it surges from a below normal idle to almost complete stall, lights dim the whole nine yards, pull into the drive way and it does the same thing.. .drive or park. I shut it off. Turn it back on and it's now idling fine. WTF is up with this!!! I'm losing my mind trying to figure this out!!!!

i would say a bad plug wire, but you have the 8.5mm wires.
i would then say tps, but you got a new one.
then i would say maybe pcv, but you got a new one.
hmm...
as far as the surge/slip in overdrive, i don't know.
the stall/almost stall sounds like when my ASD relay was bad, and the same as when my CPS was bad. but the same thing will happen with a bad IAC relay.

are your battery connections clean? how much voltage is your alternator putting out with the engine running? the magnums act really screwey with a low battery.

Yea, the connections are very very clean suprisingly haha. usually my batterys look like an 80's coke party @ the terminals. I'll have to check the voltage with my voltmeter, but it's a bit over 14 according to the battery gauge in the truck. Maybe I should try that damn IAC... I'm running out of money here lol.

the iac shouldn't affect it while cruising with your foot on the gas and the throttle plates open. unless it is opening and closing and letting just a little more air in the intake along with what is flowing around the throttle plates. i dunno, its worth a shot.

the surging and stalling only happened with the foot off the gass, the slipping i think is a whole different ordeal.

Yep, sorry about that... I was a little lost in the mood lol. Anyway you could change it to "stalling / surging"

have you read the threads bout the plenum issues? might fit for the stalling, 'cept usually the rpms lower and idle is low not 1,100........ but worth a thought
