Dodge T-Rex 6x6 rolls over Camera man
Now if you have ever seen the truck or worked on it, that would be different. But as far as I can tell you don't now anything about the fab work. Please though let us know how you are an expertise with the trex!
In my opinion the trex is an awesome truck, its always been one of my favs, keep up the great work!!!
OK THis is fun, I love everybodys opinions. It is truely great that we live in a country that we can do this.
Anyways let me once again set the record straight and give you some history on the Dodge T-Rexs. There were several prototypes built using freighliner, Dodge and other custom parts. These prototype rigs were built to be production trucks that were intended to capture the 3/4 and 1-ton market. These would have made awsome tow rigs. The stats on them are all over the internet. 8000lb bed capacity and 25,000 towing capacity. They were slated for production in 2002. When Dimler merged with Dodge they thought that the Dodge T-Rex was too heavy duty and would compete with thier med and hevy duty truck line(Freightliner- Remember Dodge merged with freightliner). So they canceled the project.
That is when we took the concept and built a competition version of the Dodge T-Rex. We were sponsored by Dodge, KC, Detroit Lockers, Interco Tires, Rocklogic, Lynex, USA66, and others to build this truck. WHile building the Lime Green T-Rex I negotiated the sale of one of the prototypes to act as our tow rig to Tow the Green T-Rex from show to show. However, we stalled on price, $150,000 for the bronze T-Rex. I don't think so. So with that we built a Cummins version, similar to the way the Dodge Prototypes were configured, except we used a Cummins: See picture below:

Anyways the Green Dodge T-Rex was not fabbed the same way that the Bronze prototype was or the white one.
The Green T-Rex is ALL STOCK EXCEPT FOR:
The Rockwell 2.5 ton axles
the control arms ( the springs and spring perches are Dodge)
Bumpers and exocage
snorkle and flowmaster exhaust
gas tank 500 lb fuel cell
All the fab work was done by myself and Godwin Fabrication.
EVERYTHING ELSE IS STOCK.
V10 with stock tranny 47RE, Transfer Case 271HD,
Stock electrical, frame, interior.
Even the Paint is Mopar Sublime Green.
So my point is that I am impressed at how well this Dodge has held up to the massive amount of abuse it has taken. The frame is stout, the electircal flawless, the drivetrain bullet proof. There is a funny story about the tranny though. When we first competed this truck we were sponsored by a tranny supershop. They built us this "ultimate" Tranny. valued at over $6000. We put it in and it lasted only one outing. then it was toast. it gernaded!! So I put the stock tranny back in to it. Everyone thought that it would not hold up to the abuse and demand a 6x6 truck would put on it, especially with 6- 42 inch tire and sprouting a weight of 9K. Well, here we are at 140,000 miles of hell and it is still going. THat is my point, good stuff.
I enjoy my CHevys even though they have cost me alot more than all of my Dodges combined in maintenance . My Fords were all nightmares. I could not keep them running... When they ran, they were great, but when they don't, which for me was most of the time, they were a pain.

Nice Truck, That is why I get to pick the course. If your driving, over a pile of cars, you would put on a better show than I. You would be air born most of the time. I have cushed many car myself, that but not with the same flare as a moster truck.
But in real wheeling, I would take you. I could even drive my truck down the street to the trail head...lol
you can drive a monster truck down the street to the trail head if you throw on the tires they use for transporting them, and drive really slow so you don't blow the motor.

The guy built a nice truck, and your obviously jealous. The truck does have a lot of stock parts so why are you bashing him? I love the t-rex loks to be VERY well built.
