Back in my high school days, when I got my license my ol' man let me drive his 1997 Dodge Ram... man was I a cool *****. I raced it against some kid in his car, but I stuck it in low range just before the arm dropped Whooped his azz up into the 80MPH range till I chickened out and let off. Damn kids
Secretly, I have too, when I was parking the camper. Its really nice to move over 11,000 pounds at idle.
Lol that it would be lol. When I was moving brick from the back yard last month I loaded the bed down and threw it in 4lo on my way back up the hill. The truck crawled itself up the hill. Lmao, i jumped out of the truck and watched for a min in facination lol. It never did that before so I guess it was because the truck was cold. Once I reached the top i drove onto the driveway so technically i did drive on pavement in 4lo. I also like 4lo (and put in 1st gear) for the engine brake function, that saved my *** on this downhill icy trail up at school. Max speed is like less than 5mph. Not that it was really related, but 4lo is the bomb
Edit, I rarely use 4wd, I just wanted to poke some fun. But purpl aparently this guy didn't get the memo to not use 4wd on pavement. Least he succeeded though (I posted in OT a while back)

I don't believe you can go 80mph in 4lo. Maybe in 4hi. And I'm pretty sure if you did manage to go 80 in 4lo, something could break.

Guess you wont know till you try Don't get me wrong, I am not condoning it by any means, as it is not good for the driveline... but, I'm just saying. At that age, who cares hahahahahha
You do know overdrive works in 4lo too, right? I have used it a fair amount down in the silver lake sand dunes. Its nothing to hit 35-40 MPH in 4lo in overdrive, and its not like the RPM's are raging either.
