Deleted - Insulation under the hood on diesel models. DON'T HAVE
Deleted - Front and Rear grab handles on passenger side. FALSE I HAVE ONE IN FRONT
Deleted - SLT tailgate protector TRUE
Deleted - Amber Fire Pearcoat paint C'MON NOW I GOT PATRIOT BLUE
Deleted - plastic rear wheel liners (P/N 5534 6010 SHIELD, Wheelhouse) FALSE
Deleted - self-Dimming rear view mirror TRUE
Silver radio antenna (was painted black in previous models) FALSE MINE IS BLACK
Cowl rubber seal size reduced by 1/2 DON'T KNOW BUT TIRED OF IT FALLING OFF

Is this why there was a recall for springs breaking and the axle rotating and ripping the brake lines off??????

there was a TSB for something about the need to add a auxillary leaf for the camper susp package....I wonder....

mine was built in march 2001 in dodge city MI, it has a passenger side handle, plastic wheel liners, drum brakes, black antenna, and no plastic on tail gate, could a mexican built truck throw i wrench in the works?

* Ram trucks built from January 1, 2000 to July 1, 2000 are referred to as 2001 models.
o The early 2001 models have drum brakes in the rear. (DRUM REAR)

I was just looking around my truck for some cargo straps and saw grab handles.
I forgot mine has rear grab handles on both sides but they are attached to the front seats not the roof where I would have seen them from the drivers seat.
Are these what you're looking for?

No rear grab handles
no slt tailgate cover, ( Mine is an slt laramie)
I do have plastic rear wheel liners
No self dimming rear view
Black antenna but some of the paint is coming off
Don't know about the seal but it keeps falling off
not sure about the leaf spring..

By the way, this is kind of off subject but maybe there's something missing on my 01.5 model. I took my passenger door panel off to take the glass out and noticed an extra plug strapped up more on the end by the door jam. Its just a small 2 prong plug with power going to it. Is there an option I am missing?
