wickedly bright backup lights
I don't see how flashing the rear lights are any more dangerous then flashing someone with your headlights.
also never known anybody to get hit with an attempted murder charge for hitting their brights.
Use a press. Heating metal will destroy whatever treatment it has undergone.
Bummer. Hire a shop to do it. There's no excuse for halfassing fab work. Just do it right, and you'll do it once.
Another example of how you can be so condescending. The part in question is not structural. Any heat application is not going to be a factor in whether it does what it is intended to do. While your statement has merit, in this application it simply isn't needed. Nitpick much?

on the heat to bend subject, for something like skid plates i'm sure it wouldn't really matter because if you hit them hard enough to break them then the plates would be the least of your worries.
if you were concerned about weakening them then couldn't you temper them to give back the strength that was taken away by the torch?

Is that all you're here for, to prove how right you can be on almost any subject? I'm guessing your constant need for attention and affirmation keeps your circle of friends at a small and manageable size.
