the hs1.7 DIY question
ok. in the DIY for the harland sharps the picture shows a shaft connecting each set of rockers. i thought these rockers were pedestal mount. doesnt that mean they dont use a shaft to conect them? and if it does is the guy in the DIY pictures using a different part number?

ok thanks fellas. i was wonderin if any of you guys have checked out the shaft mount roller rockers on hughes engines? with the haft connecting the intake and exhaust rockers they seem to be he same thing just with a 1.65 ratio. anyone think theyre any better? or just an overpriced competion

I'd rather have 1.7:1 then 1.65:1 ratio if i'm running a stock cam. I've never seen anything from Hughes that wasn't way overpriced anyway. Their awful proud of their stuff, but even without considering price, it would be hard to beat the HS rockers. Aluminum, roller tip and fulcrum, no lash adjustments, no guide plates. Install is a breeze. Doesn't get much better then that. Not sure what Hughes could really improve on.
