Default the hs1.7 DIY question

ok. in the DIY for the harland sharps the picture shows a shaft connecting each set of rockers. i thought these rockers were pedestal mount. doesnt that mean they dont use a shaft to conect them? and if it does is the guy in the DIY pictures using a different part number?

They are pedestal mounted, but there is also a shaft that connects the pair which helps keep them alined since you can use these without guides.

We have a winner the shaft is in place so the guide plates can be removed. They are pedestal mount.

ok thanks. i see what you guys mean. but do you have to order that shaft specially or does it come with the standard kits, cause i think the one i saw on southeast performance didnt come with the shaft it was just a pedestal alone. i think

I'd rather have 1.7:1 then 1.65:1 ratio if i'm running a stock cam. I've never seen anything from Hughes that wasn't way overpriced anyway. Their awful proud of their stuff, but even without considering price, it would be hard to beat the HS rockers. Aluminum, roller tip and fulcrum, no lash adjustments, no guide plates. Install is a breeze. Doesn't get much better then that. Not sure what Hughes could really improve on.
