Right, I dont need to think about gears ro axles cause mine is stock. I think that is a waste of money from my pov. I have 130K miles and the truck has some good rust through spots. years ago, yeah thats a good investment.

Im not even sure if its worth doing anything to it and just trading it in on something newer...

truck will be paid off in two months, and if i wanna drive it for another year or 18months... Ill need tires and an alignment. then your misc crap like oil changes and ball joint/Universals. Its a decision I should make soon. But i still liked reading and watching the build the guys on extreme did

so pretty much it's a little truck with stock gas mileage... they have not improved the mpg over stock at all!.. but I guess having a lifted off road truck that gets stock gas mileage is a plus

The dana 60 kit is $1900. You need to select it in the drop down menu.

Yep. Quite right. Wondered how they could sell that kit so much cheaper than the manufacturer does.......

Guess the reason there is: They don't.

Thanks.

Ok boyz he has a 97 5.9 liter I still have the full episode on my dvr lol when they installed the e fan he says he got a extra 3 miles per tank but when they do the whole episode they have down as getting 1.5 mpg gain. Truck was stock but had a cold air intake. That being said the highest MPG he got out of it would have only been 14 ish. Any other questions I have it locked on my dvr let me know the full episode is called "Fuel Saving Street Truck" its episode 143 the Air date was 12-5-10

This is what I heard on the first episode too. I think he said 0.15 mpg gain from the fan after a couple of tanks in mixed driving which is believeable.

The best way to improve MPG is to go back to stock with the original tiny tires.
