The 46re and 46rh are the same tranny except one is mostly hydraulic and one is all electrically controlled...besides the gov pressure sensor and maybe a little wiring they share pretty much all the rest of the same weaknesses...
exactly, governor pressure solenoid/sensor is problematic when the screen on the solenoid gets clogged with clutch dust.
that and the oem torque converters are crap.
We all know you have a special truck. I guess the guys on the assembly line had a good day when they made yours. I'm hoping that mine will last for as many miles as yours. what are you up to now? i know your sig says 446500, but you said that you drive 30k a year.
You know, I never thought of my truck as "special" until I found this forum. Then I found out there is some problems with Rams. When it got to 350k, I started to think,"this is a damn good truck" I was averaging 40 a year for several years, when work was good. It"s getting close to 448k now. Your truck should last forever, as much knowlege as you have....Tom
when you hit a half a million you should contact dodge and see if they want to do a promo deal. i saw where k&n gave a guy a free truck when he hit one million miles on the same air filter and this other story where a little old lady was on the news because she hit a half million with her car that she bought new in the 60's.
Anything free sounds good to me.Unless I go back to work, it might take a while to put 52k on her. That's ok, she deserves to be babied a little. She has had a hard life.LOL
I didn't have camera til lately. I'll be posting some pics soon. It's not really much to look at but, it's not a rag either. More of a plain Jane, white with light tan int. no rust.
