I know I got some problems with my Tranny but I dont get any codes.

it shift fine when cold, but then when it hot it wont shift unless you let go of the gas or shift to N and then back to D.

That I dont use my Truck anymore until I get some money to fix it
it saddens me everytime i get home and see her outside gathering dust.

same here boss..thats the reason my landlord chose to park the truck and look for a new one..Governor stuck and it made the same noise the OP described and wouldnt pull out of first no matter what we did..let it sit..reset the computer changed the tranny fluid and filter (seal aint holding well but thats my fault) and drove it around and shes been shifting fine ever sense

EDIT..that was at 98-100 thousand..

 

Mine was about 120 ish, and I had those codes as well. Replaced the Govenor and ID selenoids and the codes went away. If I'd adjusted the bands I might still be going.

 

I have 152k on the factory one in my 2500. It has towed all of its life. It is still going strong.

 

It's only a matter of time...It'll go pretty soon.

 

368k here, on the 46RH. 180k on the rebuild. Mostly highway miles.

46RE (a518) is the one with problems.
