it took about 50 miles on the highway before i started feeling the difference when i hit in town. but i could definatly feel it, and its been like that since. I love my truck
My shifting got smoother somehow as well, i cant feel it shift anymore, before i was able to feel a slight jerk when it shifted sometimes, now it doesnt do it at all.
I read that the smooth shifting feel (when the tranny shifts) is not a good thing. I read that it means the clutches are wearing out faster when it shifts like that. Could be wrong though. Good deal though.
im not worried, if anything goes in it, ill replace it, tranny was beefed up 20K ago, ive had it for 13K and ive been easy. its seen above 3000Rpms maybe 5 times
Used car dealers love Restore. It gives tired engines new pep long enough for them to offload the vehicle on some poor, unsuspecting sap. Restore has abrasives in it that cause the rings to sand down imperfections in the cylinder walls and seal better. That's why it takes about 50 miles to feel the effect. Unfortunately, the benefit is often short lived. And you definitely don't want to be using this stuff at every oil change. Basically, this stuff masks the effects of a worn engine and overuse will clog it up.
i could swear it did wonders to mine the 1st time i used it also.. some guy on here a while back did a before and after compression test and it did improve so i highly reccomend it
my truck was running great before, i just thought at 200K she should try some of it, and im glad i did. the thing says to use every oil change, but you would go against it?
