guys as some you guys know my cousin owns a 98 5.9 ram and i have a 2000 ram.. i currently have a superchips and i took it off mine and installed it on his.. i cant believe how much of a diffrence puting the superchips did to my truck!!! i took it off and litterally it takes forever to get my truck to speed ,has no ***** and if i want it too go it takes alot of gas pedel for it to go, and it shift totally diffent like crappy when its not on

but when its installed there a power diffence all around the RPMS, its not hard to get up to speed, like you can be easy on the gas all day and it just flys the powerband is all there!! the tranny shift way better too my cousin is totally amazed with it and my truck has the death flash so driving mine without it sucks, hes going to be soo mad when i take it back keep in mind this is the 91 tune set on both running 87 octain gas.

so my final thought for people is this

if you guys dont have a superchips own one OWN ONE NOW !!! even if your truck is stock , these truck are dogs stock and seem to be very de-tuned.. my cousins 98 that is stock gave it *****, and if you have the death flash it will be a totally diffrent truck for you .. i cant wait for the SCT!!! hemifever here i come

 

I'll be getting a 3815 or 3715 after I get a new timing chain, do the Kegger mod, and replace the plenum with the one from APS.

some people may come on here saying that it may have not done much which i thought that after i got used to the power it gave, but when you 1st take it off you are really able to tell its does alot !!! that why i had to post this lol

 

so which is the better investment between the superchips and the HS 1.7s? i see that you have both.

 

i want to save up enough to do the superchips on my truck, but i just dont have the extra 300 bucks right now

I would say the superchips because it gives you the ability to change your vehicle more than once... many different settings vs a one time power booster.

that being said.. the 1.7's will only make you superchips that much better!! add in the fastman and a nice exhaust.. and WATCH OUT!
