not if yo unplug the direct line to the registry. Where i used to work we had inspections, and my boss had his friends come in, and when it came time to hook it up, he unplugged the jack, and it by-passed the emissions, printing passing stickers.

I Got Good News!! It Passed Inspection With Both Lights On. I'm A Happy Camper! Just wanted to Let Others Know. The Only Codes They Check are For Emissions.

But you should still get them checked out. I guess they should call it "Emissions Testing" instead of "Inspection".

It would take all of 5 minutes to change the sensor.

My light was on and I did replace the sensor and it solved the problem! I followed the instuctions that came with the sensor and it didn't say disconnect battery, but did say reset the code it if needed (ie battery). Mine just went off automatically. BTW, the old plastic inside axel broke off and I had to pry it out. PITA to get the new one back even with some lube on o-ring Thanks for the info!!!
