NJ Inspection & ABS Light On Will It Pass?
I'm Hoping My ABS Lite & Brake Lite Being On, Will Pass NJ Inspection. Does Anyone Know If It Will ? Anybody In NJ That Can Help Me ? If Not, How Can I Fix It ? Where Do I Start ? Need To Go Thru This Week.
Thanks Gene

Try cleaning the electrical connector to the sensor on top of the rear end. Reset PCM and see if lite comes back on. If it does, replacing that sensor 9 times out of 10 will fix that problem. Disconnect neg battery cable while you replace it.
OR if you just want a sticker on it, you can take out the cluster, and take out the bulbs for them....that will take like 15 minutes to do....this is the easy way out....try doing the reset on the PCM first
I'm almost sure they check for all the lights on the restart for Inspection. So if It Won't pass, I get to fix it..
Was Hoping to hear from a fellow NJ Person who Has Been There and Done That!! But Thanks for the Fix Help I will try to read codes for it.

oh ok....im goin off the inspection station we have...usually you'll find one that will put you in, and get you out with a sticker. My fiancees e-brake didnt work, CEL was off but needed to clear 3 more cycles, and brakes were grinding, and plate lights were out....he told me what was worng, and still gave me the sticker.
So you might get lucky if you go to one that hardly even check the vehicle.
I have one here in MA, thees a garage in the area where i used to live that will pass anyone...so look around, you may get lucky.

well the sensor is only like 30-40 bucks i think...id change that out. its only one bolt that holds it on, but watch out, for when i did one on a 03 Dakota (9.25 axle) the bung on the sensor broke off in the pumpkin, and was a B!tch to get out. so dont ty to rip it out, pry up ech side and have it come out evenly.
Yeah, but on most inspections they hook a scanner up to your truck to check for codes.
