help build my motor
well as yall no i blew my motor so i wanna do a cheap build. im gonna bore the motor and put new pistons in the motor. is there any thing else i have to do when i do this and what some stuff i should do while im in the motor this deep
Nothing cheap at all about breaking appart an engine, and if you put it back togeather with out doing any major overhaul, you would have wasted your time and it'd be nothing but a **** tease at that point
Wow,what a loaded statement/question. Without a long drawn out explaination of how or what I would do, I think I will skip it. The words "cheap" and "rebuild" don't belong in the same sentence. If you want cheap, pull a junkyard engine and drop it in. That is probably the cheapest way to go. Call me a pesimist, or the fact I never half *** anything. but this sounds like a recipe for disaster.
and to the OP, that rebuild kit is for 1974-1978 LA Blocks. Not the Magnum. Not 100% sure if it makes a difference.

id replace heads, camshaft, possibly crankshaft, have the entire motor torn apart and cleaned, new oil pump/screen, RR's, push rods, and that should be enough to get you going along with the bore, pistons etc.
I agree .. not such thing as a "cheap" rebuild...
bore it out.. all new pistons, connecting rods, cam shaft,rr,push rods, heads, and crankshaft.. allong with plugs, wires, rotor, dist cap, oil pump, timing chain, water pump, and all new gaskets ect...
like stated above.. get a cheap junk yard motor with low mileage and swap it in.. I've seen them as cheap a $850 with less than 50,000 miles
