Remove the c clips from the the inside. Get a cheap socket a little smaller than the cups. Get a hammer. On a smooth flat hard surface. Pound them until they start to move. raise the axle shaft while supporting it and finish pounding out the u joint.

or use a vice with the socket pushing on the cup and a larger socket for the other cup to move into.

i broke a c clamp and a big vise trying to get them out of my rear driveshaft so if they aren't budging then those probably won't work.

i say get an angle grinder and a cut off wheel and cut the u joint off, then popping the caps out with a hammer and socket will be easy.

just hack it off with a grinder.
this is my axle shaft u joint. when i changed my sisters drive shaft u joints, i cut off both ears of the u joint that go into the caps, then it didn't take a hard hit at all with the hammer and a socket to get the caps to pop out.
