I've been in a small frontal collision with the truck. All I needed was a new bumper, the other guy needed a new car.

Not bragging, I hated myself for damaging my baby, and I hated it that I damaged someone's property. Just saying that IMO, from what I've seen from my accident and others, they are pretty safe in frontals.

if i had a choice of what type of vehicle to be in an accident of any type i would choose a truck and preferably a dodge. i here it on the news alot. a truck and a car get into an accident and the people in the car go to the hospital in serius condition if they aren't killed instantly. the people in the trucks usually walk away with miner injury's.

Well yeah, size and weight are dominant factors concerning uncontrolled momentum, plus your *** is much closer to the ground in a car, not a good thing in an accident.
I cringe when I see people driving around in these little glorified golf carts these days, I don't think its worth such a risk to your life to save some $$ at the gas pump.
Now if everyone was driving them, that would be different ,,, But with the prevalence of SUV's and pickups these days, cars are very vulnerable.

The only safer thing about a car vs a truck is its harder to roll, since its center of gravity is much lower.

a cars center of gravity is a bit lower, they weight less, the width of a car is less than a truck making it's posibility of rolling just as good as most trucks. the only trucks i can see rolling easier are the ones that people have install lift kits.

good god man..that thing really did take a beating..but like said before..it died so you could live..thats what its designed for..looks like that roof fold was pretty close to your seat..your head didnt get tapped ?

either way man..you two are lucky..partially that you made it..mainly cause you bought such a good truck

EDIT: what is all over that quarter panel..and if your parting out..i call dibs on the right tail light
