Adding gauges, a few questions

I would get some full sweep gauges. Although they wont match the factory cluster (who cares about that anyway!), they will be more accurate. I wish I had that mindset when I bought my transmission temperature gauge!
I have an Autometer Sport Comp II (one of the closest look to the factory gauges) short sweep transmission temperature gauge. And I have the sensor in the front servo port in the transmission (let the debate begin!). Really nice gauge.

its a poor picture but this is my set up, the top it outside air temp (i dont have the overhead computer) and the bottom is trans temp, mounted in the servo port, if you mount it there and have a pretty good sized cooler on the front dont expect to see temps over 150 around 40 degrees out

I found a sunpro oil/water temp gauge for real cheap. I know I get what I pay for but will it work for trans. temp? It has a few fittings in the package, not sure where they would tie into. I don't have the money to afford the Autometer or Glow shift. Just need to have to keep track of the temp somehow. Any ideas?

With an electronic temp gauge I would think that it reads off of resistance. If you have an indicator light for your trans temp, it should wire into that. Don't take my word for it, but that's how I would think it works. I'm going for a mechanical but cannot think of anywhere to tap into, I really do not want to drill holes.

i asked about that before...about wiring into the dummy light since it DOES tell the temp of the tranny since it goes one when hot.....but all my responses were "i dont know if that will work"
i need one...i overheated my tranny once offroading.....i havent been offroading since, im scared, so i want a guage...i guess if i have to drill a hole in the pan to go back into the trails, then thats what im going to do....sucks becaue i just did a tranny flush....60 bucks in fluid.....dont want to have to drop the pan again....
