My guess, and I'm not connected with that anymore, is that when Dodge went to factory steering stabilizers, they felt there was no longer a need for the adjustment. Less maching operations= reduced costs.
I'd be a bit concerned about binding without the stabilizer, because I don't know that a couple of casting bumps would provide enough of a safety net.

i'll take some pic's tomorrow morning when it's daylight, i'll turn it all the way and see what happens cause i swear there's times when i pull into a parking spot i cannot straighten my wheel out for nothing, and its not the power steering cause once i put it into reverse and try and straighten the wheels out that way it takes a minute but will finally pop loose. but if you sit there an try an turn it, it refuses to budge and you can put your full body on the wheel and nothing happens.

What do you think these mounting tabs are for? There's the lower one and another just like it at the top of the knuckle (see pic). They have a cleanly machined hole in both of them.
I can't believe the stabilizer acts as the steering stop. It isn't really strong enough and when it bottoms or tops out everything flexes. Not good. Can't believe Chrysler designed it this way.
