No wheel stops on Dana 60

What do you think these mounting tabs are for? There's the lower one and another just like it at the top of the knuckle (see pic). They have a cleanly machined hole in both of them.
I can't believe the stabilizer acts as the steering stop. It isn't really strong enough and when it bottoms or tops out everything flexes. Not good. Can't believe Chrysler designed it this way.

I'm impressed there's even a hole drilled in it. The D-44, or at least mine has nothing but the casting nodules.
I can almost see some bookkeeper at Dana corp adding up the seconds it takes to tap the holes, have nuts and stop bolts assembled and put in by some hourly well paid union employee who then has to jig and adjust said assembly (or have another person do it) down the line. He probably had to take a couple Valium and his blood pressure meds with a shot of Whiskey. But maybe he/or she ended up with a letter of commendation and a dinner for two coupon.

That's impressive because my 44 doesn't have those nuts and screws, and there is enough metal to install them.
I'm thinking everybody needs to grab a flashlight and thier camera or cellphone and crawl under thier truck...
Well ...GET MOVIN'!!

I'm sure they're stock and as I posted earlier, the fact that you have them and I don't doesn't suprise me, although I did have another "eyebrow raising" moment.

Actually the axle yoke is different somewhat..
the bottom balljoint presses into an angled yoke where as your's is machined flat on the bottom .
Makes the D60's harder to service the lowers.IMHO
Miami my front's do not touch when turning the wheel but the back stops do. Thus effectively stopping one wheel while the steeering is still trying to turn the other.
So I guess DIME-ler was trying to save some cash on the adjustables.
the backs are circled.
the photo of them touching is obscured by the caliper mount so I didn't include it here.
