SuperCharge it and you dont have to worry about doing any of that, minus the plenum of course =)

[QUOTE=Laramie1997;1988318]

On our trucks, they do not work, and 99% of all fuel injected engines as well. Modern engines are port injected meaning that the fuel is sprayed directly into the cylinder and not the intake like above. In this case, spinning the air doesn't help. It does nothing to help the air to fuel ratio.

In port injection the fuel is sprayed into the port, not the cylinder.
If it's sprayed into the cylinder or combustion chamber it is direct cylinder injection.
Not arguing, just trying to clarify.

Well, I've got 3 of those TB spacers, found them on core motors people have turned in. I also got lucky and got a 52mm Holley throttle body and a set of Pace Setter shortys.

In addition to what has already been said, another reason is just the design of the intake manifold. If you have ever seen the inside of the intake manifold of our trucks, it is obvious why they dont work. How would you expect the "swirling" effect that the TB spacer creates to stay in effect making the 60* bends that are in the intake manifold?

The TBs that are already on our rams are 52mm holleys.

I saw a study that proved they did work...as long as they where 18 inches high, and you only looked at mpg......a 18 inch high tb spacer will save enough fuel to pay for itself ($119.95) in 6 years.....what a bargain!

It was one of those Holley High-FLow EFI throttle bodies. Link: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HLY-112-555/

If you drive an older chevy you will be all over a TB spacer, and yes on the TBI and Carb motors it helps a bit, plus some run it for clearance issues
Like if you put a bigger TB and the blades hit the intake manifold so you put the spacer so the blades open all the way

Google it. I saw the study, think it was done at WyoTech.
