Does any one else feel bad for the truck ? seriously the thing has gotta have a major complex. it's been turned into a trailer queen b!tch truck, makes my stomach turn when even the owner knows nothing about it. Some people dont deserve to have money.

The 4.7 (287ci) motor came about in 2002 with the new 1500. It was the replacement for the 5.2 just as the 5.7 is the replacement for the 5.9.

It's decent small block V8, but IMO, the only 287's that are worth anything are the HO 4.7s. They come factory built with forged internals and they are a booster's dream.
Im pretty sure they came out in dakotas a lot earlier than that.

I was referencing just the use in the Rams since we are not in the Dakota section. You want to talk about them, go to the dak section. They are right below us on the index page.

I doubt he went through all the work to put the 4.7 in there, The stock hp is 235hp and 295tq(still less than a 5.9) and definantly not worth the swap if he said it had a 5.7 I could almost believe it. It might be worth the money and the time

But since he didnt talk about engine mods I think he is talking out his ***

And I also feel bad for the truck its like dressing up a boy as a girl and wondering why they came out weird

I asked the guy about the sub box in the center seat he could not tell me how it was built or anything. The truck is on a car lot.
