Default Pullin trigger on parts!

Well, I got my tax return today, so I ordered the hughes plenum kit, along with bolts and gaskets. Working with hemifever to order the SCT. Also going into town to get a new fuel pump, so I dont have the pressure bleeding off problem anymore.

Wish me luck!!

As far as the shraeder port valve...I did end up replacing it, but I must be pushing the cap into it or something when I take it off, cause I still get just a lil gas when I take the cap off. It doesnt leak ANY fuel while running from the port. I figured its my fuel pump check valve bleeding pressure. I hooked a gauge up and it drops to near zero after engine is shut off in about 1 min...should hold the pressure.

Im excited to get it all! Just went and got the fuel pump...its an Airtex brand pump, hopefully its a decent pump...it was $242 with military discount...gotta love discounts! If anyone has had bad experiences with this brand, let me know ASAP so I can return it before its too late and installed. Must be nice to live close to things. I live in BFE Alaska and its a 30 min drive to "town." And town includes walmart, chili's, and American Eagle, lol. Thank God we leave in April for my next base!!!!!!

Paypal'd Hemifever the money for the SCT, so I should be getting that soon. Hughes kit gets here on Thursday.

you might want to consider ditching the plenum gasket that comes with the hughes kit in favor of a fel pro gasket. those compression gaskets suck. that is what was on mine and it was leaking and another guy had two of them leak on him. the parts stores carry two different fel pro gaskets, one is a carbon looking deal with multiple short rubber lines on both sides and the other is metal with rubber on each side, the second is the one you ought to get.

Thanks for the advice on the gasket, I will be sure to get a new gasket. Did you RTV the fel pro plenum gasket, or not?

I've got a confirmation for shipping on the SCT! Hemifever is great to deal with...very quick emails back! He knows his ****!! A++++ to deal with! I paypal'd him the money yesterday, and in less than 12 hrs, it was shipped!

no rtv on the plenum gasket (the gasket that goes between the belly pan and the intake manifold).
