Replace it? No! Repair?Rebuild?Renew? Yes. My 10 y/o daughter already has her eye on it for when she starts driving. Either way my Ram is gonna be with me for a while.

Till they pry the keys from my cold dead fingers...........I wish. I change vehicles like I change underwear. The only issue is I have never put this much time and money into a vehicle. I did things to this truck I only dreamed about, never in a million years did I think I would be able to do an engine swap. Also is the fact I built it in memory of my dad. In the 3 months I have had this truck I have made some really cool memories. I started literaly with nothing and built it into what it is now so for that reason I would really like to hold on to it. I know my 9 year old has his eye on it. My issue is I love getting them fixing them drive for a little while then sell. Maybe I will get lucky and get a better job and be able to keep this one as my back-up and get another truck for DD (right now I have a company car).

I guess short story long I don't know time will tell. I will say I am in love with this truck right now. Probably couldn't get what I want for it anyway so I will keep it for now.

I bought mine new in 1996 and I still love it. Short bed single cab 1500 4x4 Delux package 5.2/auto/air/fiberglass top, etc. Now 185,000 miles later it still looks new (been repainted twice - lousy factory silver paint) and rebuilt the tranny a few years ago. Still runs and drives nice. Minimal usual repairs (intake pan, timing chain jumped a sprocket/repaired, fixed small tear in seat, waterpump/thermostat/radiator, cat, stereo, rear bumper, shocks, track-bar, & brakes replaced over its life), put a true-track in the rear, round Mopar air cleaner, & a 50mm throttle body. It's on its fourth set of tires (265), and a 1.5" spacer lift on the front levels it out nice. I bought it new when I was single. Now I'm married with three kids. If I were to get rid of it, I wouldn't be able to justify buying another one (plus its been paid off for years). Definitely a keeper. If the engine goes, I'll just put in a new/rebuilt one (with upgrades!). I still have things I'd like to do to it (1.7 rockers, rear long add-a-leaf waiting to be installed, new coils in the front, change tires to 285 or 295 on 16x8 D!ck Cepek Torque rims, 4.10 gears instead of the 3.55, true track up front). It will have to be totaled before I get rid of it.

I just bought my '95 this time 2 years ago, and put a lot of work into it. It was originally a winter beater that may turn into a summer beater I like it that much heh.
