I'm pretty sure the speedos are calibrated at the factory to whatever size tires the truck is shipped with based on the build sheet. If a dealer changed the tire size upon receipt, I'm guessing most would have recalibrated them to match.
My truck came with 245's. Its on the build sheet and the door sticker. My speedometer was off 3-4mph until I recalibrated to a 30" tire. So if thats what the factory calls calibrated, they have some serious faults with their system.
You alll think you have it bad. I bought my 2wd Dodge a few weeks ago with 305-70/16 Goodyear Wrangler RT/S tires on it. The door sticker has the 225 size on it. I know the speedometer is way off by the cop that pulled me over for doing 72mph in a 65mph zone. I had the cruise control set at exactly 65mph according the the speedometer. He let me off with a warning. How lucky was I? How am I supposed to figure the mileage on something like that?
last time i came across that low mileage, was on cuz a clogged injector. but in your situation, i wouldnt say its the cat. im a state inspector and even if your o2's were'nt functioning correctly, the computer would throw a code showing a system bank malfunction or something along those words. clean out intake manifold and clean fuel system and injectors. ( seam foam works good). go to any lube shop. they should be able to do it unless you want to.

try that. may work.
Ok, I have used Seafoam before. Guess I need to use it again. I changed out the distributer and rotor today, and used the Napa Echlin one that was reccomended. here is a pic of the old one:
Its pretty worn out. So, with that and driving easy, that should help.
