Greenram , so you have a 6 inch lift on a 4x2.....wow. please please send me some pics i would love to see how she stands..also how does she ride and did you have trouble with alignment. so did you put 4 inch blocks put back??

now to the other guys thanx for your info....purpledodge not sure if you know your trucks....but my chevy truck does not have torsion under it ...its a 89 chevy truck lowered 4 inches up front and 6 inches out back riding on 20`s...and when I((note.. I) lowered it i saw no torsion bars...so it might do you good to explore another make of truck and widen your horizons...
All you guys are awesome...like I said thanx for all the input ...
Be careful who you insult, you may need their help. Chevy's have had torsion bars on there 4x4's since 1988.

Well everybody can tell you you'd be surprised at how much PurplDodge knows about trucks considering his age... No need to defend any ground, it won't change anything over a forum.

Back to the topic... I have a 1.5" Coil Spacer from Daystar and about 2" of lift from Add-A-Leafs for the rear and I fit 285/75/R16's with no rubbing at all. Depends on the tire I believe. I have BFG All-Terrains. Cost me $40 for the spacer, and I think $40 for the leafs.

There are also a number of fabricators who make complete kits. Fabtech makes a 3.5" Spindle Lift System, a 3" Performance System, and a 6.5" Ultimate lift that consists of both systems previously stated.

Doetsch Tech also makes a range of lifts from 1" to 6" as well. They sport more of the spindle versions which will widen your front stance about 2-3" more than the rear, but will give you the lift you want. More like a prerunner look.

You can go 2.5" with spring spacers before you need upper control arms built to correct the geometry. And keep in mind it's probably a good idea to update your shocks as well.

I plan on adding a Fabtech 3" Performance System lift which consists of taller springs and new control arms on top of my spring spacer lift to try for 4". Not sure how well it will work considering the geometry but it's worth a try.

Body lifts are cheap, not necessarily easy, but they will give you no extra clearance. And Dodges show a LOT of frame underneath with a body lift, which does not look good in my eyes... But you can clear the tires your after with either lift.

Dodges show no frame compared to a chevy, chevy's show frame before putting a body lift on them

Thats true. Chevys show a crapload of frame. But with a body lift alone on a Dodge 2WD? It just never has looked good to me. But thats me. Doesn't mean in any way don't do it. But this truck does look good...

Still, only a body lift by itself just doesn't appeal to me...

I agree but a plus side to a body lift is the extra room you gain in the engine department, and you dont change the suspension of the truck, so it rides the same except for raising the center of gravity a little

truth be told i was concerned about the body lift and all that frame rail showing...but the do make a kit to cover all that junk...tell you what, maybe i should just lower it and i would see no railing hahahaha....no seriously , i think that im gonna level the front end with 1.5 or 2(if they make it) leveler and put 2 spindle on the front...and block it out back 4 inches.I read that the dodge factory spindles are weak.thats y i am opting to replace the spindles..... My ultimate goal is a 4 inch lift on 33`s....i think that would look good...what do you guys think ???

Dude i really thought about it....but i have a chevy pick-up that i lowered a few years back...so when i scored this truck for dirt cheap,i figured i would go opposite from down. heck im selling my acura tl cause i dont need it, i have 2 trucks 2 street bikes and a dirt bike . I am sorry that its not a 4x4 i would go up 6 inches...but a 4inch lift should do me.
